Spring foliage is burgundy red turning brilliant scarlet in Autumn. Interesting blackish/ red bark. Bright red samaras are displayed during late spring and early summer that contrast nicely with the dark purple foliage. Will be more wide than tall in maturity, so needs room to grow. An even distribution of branches arching upward from the base to form a lovely compact canopy.
